I was a seaman at CGAS Kodiak in the winter of 1970-'71. I went to visit a buddy who was a seaman on the Storis. After seeing the berthing area, I was SO glad I was NOT a proud member of the Storis crew!
Alaska will not be the same without the Ol' Sto'. The Grand Lady epitomized the United States Coast Guard, and all that it stands for, for more than six decades. Every crewmember should be proud to have served on such a ship known as "Queen of the Fleet".
